DENVER — The trains between concourses at Denver International Airport are running at "limited capacity" after a mechanical issue Wednesday afternoon, the airport said. "At 2:42 p.m.

there was a mechanical issue causing all trains to briefly stop," the airport said in a social media post at 3:42 p.m. "Trains have resumed at limited capacity.

Technicians are working diligently to resolve the issue." 9NEWS has reached out to the airport for more information about the delays. We'll update this story when we hear back.

Former 9NEWS Medical Expert Dr. Comilla Sasson was caught up in the delays. She shared photos and video showing people backed up and waiting in long lines to get on the train in the B concourse.

Sasson said it took her about an hour and 20 minutes to get from her gate to the terminal. The airport said the South and West security checkpoints are open, and passengers are being metered through the checkpoints. As of 4:30 p.

m., the airport's website reported wait times of more than an hour at the West checkpoint, and about a half hour at the South checkpoint. This is a developing situation.
