Benjamin Kalu has called on Abia state governor Alex Otti to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a move seen as an attempt to attract the Labour Party (LP) to the state. Kalu's appeal is similar to one made by Senate President Sen. Goodwill Akpabio, who urged the governor of Akwa Ibom to join the APC.
Kalu praised Otti's performance but emphasised that the APC would produce the next governor of Abia .
