Desperate Housewives could be getting the reboot treatment—but not the way you might think. Series creator Marc Cherry recently addressed the possibility of reviving the iconic ABC dramedy, which starred Felicity Huffman , Teri Hatcher , Eva Longoria , Marcia Cross and Nicollette Sheridan . “The truth of the matter,” he told People in an article published Nov.
27, “is that I have a couple of ideas to do it.” But sadly for fans of the primetime soap opera, which aired for eight seasons from 2004 to 2012, none of those ideas involve the original cast. Instead, the TV producer said he would rather go back in time and focus on a new group of residents on the same iconic cul-de-sac.
“I would probably want to do the idea maybe in an earlier decade,” he revealed. “Because the character I miss writing the most is actually Wisteria Lane. That was the most fun playground anyone in the history of television has ever had, because we owned the whole street.
