US carrier Delta Air Lines is looking to reward its frequent who give back to their local communities by offering up to 5,000 bonus SkyMiles to members of its loyalty program who give to United Way this month. The charity is one of the largest in the US and provides funding to local communities nationwide. Give, and you shall receive Delta has been working with the United Way for over 30 years.

This latest promotion is one of many run by the airline to benefit United Way, with the SkyTeam carrier most recently matching donations to the Atlanta branch of the charity in December. United Way of Greater Atlanta will process the donations, and the funds will be distributed to each giver's local community based on their zip codes. The offer is valid through September 30th, with the bonus miles being awarded in the following denominations: 1,000 bonus miles for a donation of $50 - $124 2,500 bonus miles for a donation of $125 - $299 5,000 bonus miles for a donation of $300 or more The donations will help create positive, lasting change and brighter futures for local communities thanks to the work of the United Way. The United Way seeks to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities and focusing on the building blocks for a good quality of life, education, income, and health.
