Thursday, August 22, 2024 Sabre renews its multi-year agreement with Delta Air Lines, enhancing travel agents’ access to EDIFACT and NDC content, and supporting Delta’s NDC-driven strategy. Sabre, a leading technology provider in the global travel industry, has secured a multi-year renewal of its distribution agreement with Delta Air Lines. This extended partnership grants Sabre-connected travel agents continued access to both traditional EDIFACT and New Distribution Capability (NDC) content, enhancing their ability to offer comprehensive travel options to customers.

Earlier this year, Delta unveiled its transformation strategy for selling and servicing, which prominently features NDC. Sabre and Delta will collaborate to integrate NDC content into Sabre’s travel marketplace, supporting this innovative approach. This renewed agreement highlights the shared commitment of both companies to advancing the third-party distribution ecosystem and fostering collaborative retail innovation.

Sabre-connected agencies will continue to provide a wide range of travel choices, which will expand to include more diverse pricing options and omnichannel servicing capabilities. “We are pleased to extend our full content agreement and value-based commercial model with Sabre,” said Jeff Lobl, Managing Director, Distribution Strategy and Agency Sales Programs for Delta Air Lines. “We look forward to collaborating with Sabre to make Delta’s NDC technology solution available to all Sabre.
