The BBC and Netflix have announced that the much-anticipated second season of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is officially in production. After its debut earlier this year, season one quickly became a hit, premiering on the channel and iPlayer in July before going international on Netflix in August. Starring Emma Myers from Wednesday as the young sleuth Pip Fitz-Amobi, the first season followed her as she unravelled the mystery surrounding a girl who vanished years prior.

The show is adapted from Holly Jackson's popular series of crime novels, with the second book, Good Girl, Bad Blood, featuring yet another disappearance. Fresh from solving her previous case, Pip aims to step back from detective work, especially with Max Hasting's (portrayed by Henry Ashton ) trial looming. However, when key witness Jamie Reynolds vanishes, it seems she can't leave her investigative instincts behind, reports the Mirror .
