The NBA has received the deadline to respond to the lawsuit Warner Bros. Discovery filed over the league’s media rights. As reported , WBD filed a lawsuit late last month after the league announced that5 it had turned down an offer by the company to accept a new deal with Amazon.

WBD argued that they exercised their contractual right to match Amazon’s offer, while the NBA stated that WBD’s offer did not match Amazon’s. As Wrestling Inc reports , the original due date for a response by the NBA was August 15th. Both sides agreed to an extension, as noted in an order setting a schedule for defendent’s response, to August 23rd.

The judge in the case has signed off on the approval. In the case of a motion to dismiss by the NBA, Warner Bros. Discovery has until September 20th to file their opposition and the NBA can file a response to that by October 2nd.
