DC Studios revealed its new logo at San Diego Comic-Con and its an homage to Milton Glaser's DC Comics logo that ran from 1977 to 2005. James Gunn posted the logo on X/Twitter and said, "when Peter [Safran] and I formed DC Studios we immediately knew what logo we wanted to use." It was lovingly referred to as the "DC Bullet" and was used all the way through 2005. This is obviously a loving tribute to the past, and, at DC's Jim Lee & Friends Panel at SDCC, Lee had a few words to share to express his excitement over this moment, per THR. "Definitely for me, and many generations of fans, that particular logo defined DC in its heyday,” Lee said.

“I remember during the renaissance of DC in the 1980s, with Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, The Shadow coming out, that was the DC logo. In the minds of many fans, that is the mark that defined the DC brand. It’s exciting to bring it back.

” It was also confirmed this logo will begin appearing on comics, toys, and merchandise beginning in October 2024. DC Studios also unveiled the motion graphic that will introduce its future movies, which will all kick off with July 2025's Superman.
