A dangerous drug dealer who lived a life of luxury and rented high-value vehicles was caught by police when he mistakenly drove into a cul-de-sac and was cornered. Dylan Martin was running the 'Doctor' drug line which was supplying drugs into Braintree and the surrounding area. He was arrested in Braintree during a planned operation which uncovered thousands of pounds in cash, a weapon and the drugs line phone.

The investigation into the dealer, 31, began after officers linked him, as the drugs line holder, to a black Mercedes hire vehicle which was going into the town to deal drugs. As part of the investigation into this hire vehicle, and others, we discovered Martin was the holder of the rental policies. As a result of that, officers were able to show compelling evidence that the phone line movement was in line with the movement of the known vehicles, showing regular journeys from London to Braintree.

Further work on Martin also uncovered links to properties in Braintree which appeared to be used as a base for drug supply in the area.
