Dancehall artiste D'Angel says critics and naysayers' comments serve as a motivation because she won't stop modelling her lingerie wears. D'Angel, who was a professional model, a career she said she will never 'retire' from, stressed that she believes she was the best person to model her own brand. "I am taken aback and this is just a joke to me, because I am serious about my entrepreneurial skills.

I'm a working mom and being criticised for a mom who has a lingerie line, I can't understand it or put a meaning to it. I am a working mom coming under attack because I'm earning my honest bread, modelling and showcasing my own brand. I don't understand the minds of these people - where they're going and what they're trying to accomplish," D'Angel shared with THE WEEKEND STAR .

"Artistes over the world are branding their own brands whether it be make up, lingerie, clothes items and they are mothers". She added that, through her lingerie brand, her main goal was for women to achieve "self-worth, self-care, loving and owning yuh body, loving yourself and confidence". "So I'm not sure what others are looking at because I'm not looking a man and mi naah look nobody fi lust affa mi because it nuh matta what shape, size or body I am, I'd still be confident and I would still be representing my line.

I'm all about body confidence in women from day one and I love to model and wear fashionable clothes. So if I have my own collection why wouldn't I want to show it?" a frustrated D'Angel stat.
