The Annual Keokuk-Hamilton Dam Museum Fundraiser Auction is just days away, this Sunday, Nov. 3. The doors open at 3 p.

m. and the auction begins at 4 p.m.

. This year offers several new items for our bidders – a collection of model cars and semis that belonged to Rick Michaelsen’s father and vintage Dickens Dept. 56 Christmas houses donated by Walt Stephens and John Wustrow.

Another new item for ice cream lovers, is a gallon of homemade ice cream per month from a list of delicious flavors, hand made by Becky and Kirk Brandenberger. Kerry Klepfer has offered his fast boat ride for eight people to go to the new Fort Madison Marina Turnwater Grill. Kathy Asbury and Meg Mills have included two $50 gift cards in this package for the boaters to have drinks and snacks at the Turnwater Grill before returning back to the Keokuk Yacht Club.

For the art lovers, we have a donation of an Outdoorsman Knife with a glow-in-the-dark handle handcrafted by local knife smith, Jim Wolff. Jim Topic, Nauvoo Glassworks, has donated a one-hour glass-blowing lesson for two people. Our own local artist, Margo Swena, has donated two beautiful paintings to our auction.

There will be other local artists featured, but we won’t list them all – there need to be a few surprises for you. If anyone is interested in enjoying gourmet food, good company, and a fun night out, the auction is offering our Last Dinner on the Titanic which includes an 11-course meal of food that was served on the Titanic before .
