Dan Wyatt, 35, started suffering with migraines in April, 2023, but opticians found nothing wrong with his eyesight. A few months later in September 2023, Dan checked himself into A&E after suffering with severe dizziness.

A scan revealed he had been living with an oligodendroglioma - a rare tumour. Dan was told he would be dead within weeks if doctors did not operate and had a successful surgery to remove the tumour. Now, his mother-in-law is cycling 274 miles in August to raise money for Brain Tumour Research .

Dan, a surveyor from Wellington in Somerset, said: "Before my diagnosis I was a happy, fit, energetic father of four. Then I got my shock diagnosis. Brain cancer hasn't just affected me medically it has changed my and my whole family's life.

"I had to give up work, my wife had to give up work to care for me as I lost a lot of my vision following the operation to remove the tumour. Cancer doesn't care who it hurts it doesn't affect just the person diagnosed, in my case it has immediately impacted six people's lives." After being diag.
