The crash on the A603 also involved a car. The driver of the car did not stop at the scene.
The vehicle involved is believed to have been a white Vauxhall Astra. A witness said the crash happened between the rifle range and Barton. They said the cyclist appeared to have been hit 'very hard' and "going flying as a result".
