A list of some of the major current and ongoing roadworks in Swindon has been released. Swindon Borough Council has provided advance warning of roadworks that are coming, and reminded people of ones that are currently still underway. People driving down Highworth Road will have to contend with a speed restriction for the remainder of August, to allow access for a solar farm installation.

This is due to end on Sunday, September 1. The Redlands Farm development in Wanborough is ongoing also, which means that Wanborough Road currently has temporary traffic signals in place which are likely to remain Walker Construction is currently working on Gipsy Lane, which means it will be closed overnight until Friday, August 9. The same road will then receive traffic signals fromTuesday, August 13 to Monday, August 26 as Electricity Network Company aim to to install a new electricity cable.

More traffic lights are currently on Shrivenham Road in Highworth and will be in place until Friday. August 16. This is so that Pipeline Service Ltd can excavate and install a new water main pipe.

Similarly, Thames Water is also working in Highworth to install a critical pressure monitoring point and has put temporary traffic lights at Roundhills Mead, which should be coming down in the coming days. Barnfield Road will see traffic lights until Thursday, August 8 courtesy of Openreach completing utility work. Hall Close in Wroughton will be closed from Thursday, August 8 to Sunday, August 18 by 3G Hutchi.
