Crust Pizza has taken a slice out of the sandwich trend sweeping social media by launching its brand-new Crust Lunch Piadina range. Part pizza, part sandwich, the new creations are now available for lunchtime diners and come in five unique varieties accompanied by dipping sauces. Crust Deli (prosciutto, bocconcini, mortadella, cucumber, pickled red onion, mixed leaves and truffle aioli) Pepperoni Caprese (pepperoni, bocconcini, tomato, fresh baby spinach, pesto aioli & hot honey) Sicilian Chicken (house roasted chicken, roasted green capsicum, pickled red onion, bocconcini, garlic aioli, mixed leaves and lemon wedge) Garlic Lamb & Feta (house roasted Mediterranean lamb, feta, garlic aioli, cucumber, mixed leaves, tomato and lemon wedge) Beef Brisket Dip (slow cooked beef brisket, sharp swiss cheese, caramelised onion, shallots & garlic aioli.
Served with house made jus) Crust Pizza’s Marketing Manager Zak Marr encouraged diners to broaden their definition of a sandwich as two savoury worlds collide. “We already have amazing flavours and ingredients at Crust, and getting to utilise them in a brand-new way is super exciting and we can’t wait for our customers to get their hands on them,” Mr Marr said. “Our Lunch Piadina is inspired by an Italian street food classic.
We wanted to show pizza devotees you can dabble with pizza-esque flavours at lunch while having something nourishing and quick.” Diners can grab the new range from between $11 and $14 per single serve Pi.
