With a record-breaking $30 million in prize money for the winner of the race – and a possible visit from King Charles and Queen Camilla to keep in mind – there’s been no shortage of glamour at the event, both on and off the turf. Among the “sellout crowd” and leading the style set was a member of a different royal family – Kate Waterhouse, daughter of legendary horse trainer, Gai Waterhouse. Waterhouse paired the dress with a white Somewhere Here headpiece, Christian Louboutin heels, and accessories by Sydney-based jeweller Olivia Bond.

“You want a complete look that suits the importance of the day,” she told The Sydney Morning Herald . “Looking around everyone really seems to have stepped up their style game this year. As for this dress, it’s like wearing a cloud.
