Recalling the 100-year-old history of the Communist Party of India (CPI), MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao said that the party always worked towards fulfilling people’s demands, hopes and aspirations. The CPI leaders always questioned the functioning of the government of the day and brought people’s problems to their notice. Speaking on the occasion of formation day at Zaheerabad, which was also the party’s centenary day celebrations, Sambasiva Rao, said, “The party always came forward and took a stand when people faced hardships due to rise in petrol and diesel prices as well as essential commodities.
