This Morning took an emotional turn this week when a guest broke down in tears while discussing his experience with penile cancer and subsequent amputation. Craig Mycock appeared on the show on Thursday, August 15 to share his journey, which began when doctors discovered a growth during a routine procedure. Initially, Craig was told that only a section of his penis would be removed and reconstructed using skin from his thigh.

However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he had to go to the hospital alone where it was discovered that the cancer had spread, necessitating the removal of his entire penis. Throughout the segment, Craig struggled to hold back tears, eventually breaking down while being comforted by his wife on the programme. Hosts, Rylan Clark and Josie Gibson, were visibly moved by his story, especially when Craig revealed that he had attempted suicide following the amputation.

Fortunately, Craig is now cancer-free and has the support of his partner. His story even inspired Rylan to check himself for any unusual growths.
