The Peak District , with its breathtaking landscape, is a favourite among experienced hikers and leisurely walkers alike. However, its popularity can lead to certain spots becoming overrun with visitors, particularly during the summer season. Dovedale, renowned for its picturesque stepping stones, is one such popular walking route.

But a TikTok user has discovered a quieter alternative that's "a bit like Dovedale but a lot quieter." Sam Culley shared his journey through Wolfscote Dale, which boasts similar scenery including "little waterfalls, great bridges and big peaks" along the way. In his video, he suggests parking at the village of Hartington, roughly a 90-minute drive from Greater Manchester.

You then continue on the trail, crossing another bridge and a field, before arriving at Wolfscote Dale. Situated in the White Peak, it features an "awesome cave" that you can climb up to, although Sam cautions that it's slippery.

However, the effort is rewarded with stunning views over the River Dove, reports the Manchester Evening News . You can then follow the track for a few miles, or pause for a riverside picnic. Sam also recommends visiting Dovedale for an extended walk, or you can loo.
