Out with the and in with sweet holiday treats. One of the first beloved treats to make its way back in stores for the season has been spotted on Costco shelves already — The Kirkland Praline Pecans. Costco shoppers with a sweet tooth have spotted the 40-ounce jars of praline coated pecans at store locations, and the warehouse chain has the jars available for purchase .

The jar is priced at $16.99 and is a holiday favorite of many. The coated pecans can be used in a seasonal salad, a charcuterie board, used to top a warm, baked holiday dessert, or just snacked on straight from the jar.

Aside from their addictive flavor, the excitement behind the return of the pecans to Costco shelves is due largely in part to the fact that frequent shoppers suspected the wholesale retailer was about to discontinue them. But these rumblings of a discontinuation weren't completely unfounded. Why we almost lost the Costco Praline Pecans These sweet, nutty treats were on the verge of extinction which is why the internet is doing a little happy dance knowing they've returned for the time being at least.

The pecan had received what Costco shoppers online call "the star of death" back in February. For those who have never or are new to shopping at Costco, there are to get the most out of your membership. One useful tidbit to keep in mind is that, when a product has a small asterisk next to its price in store, this is an indication that Costco is getting ready to pull it from shelves.
