Tuesday, October 1, 2024 Costa Serena docks in Vietnam’s Ha Long, bringing 3,000 international tourists and fueling a major tourism surge as visitors explore the iconic bay and city attractions. On September 30, the Costa Serena, an Italian-flagged cruise ship, docked in Ha Long city, located in northern Quang Ninh province, carrying nearly 3,000 international tourists and over 1,000 crew members. During their visit, passengers explored the famous Ha Long Bay, the city’s downtown area, and other key tourist sites.
The ship was set to depart by 6 pm the same day, with future visits planned for October 14, October 18, November 4, and November 8. Ha Long is expected to receive between 60 to 70 cruise ships this year, welcoming about 70,000 tourists in total. Since the beginning of the year, the city has hosted several high-end cruise ships from renowned brands like Royal Caribbean, Azamara, and Mein Schiff 5, bringing thousands of visitors primarily from the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.
