Six years ago, Tyrone Dobbs (played by Alan Halsall) decided to look into his parentage which is how he came across his gran Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman).
Fast forward to now and Evelyn has cemented her place in Coronation Street , living with Tyrone, Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) and their daughters Hope (Isabella Flanagan) and Ruby (Billie Naylor). The introduction of Evelyn’s daughter Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney), Tyrone’s mum, earlier this year has also shined a spotlight on the pensioner’s past before getting her feet under the table at number nine. The 78-year-old actress has now appeared on Love Your Weekend With Alan Titchmarsh to talk about her career, including her time on Coronation Street .
