The actor, 59, has begun filming his return stint as Martin Platt and will first appear on screen in October as part of Helen Worth's exit storyline.

He was all smiles as he made his way around the Manchester set once again, donning a flamboyant blue and white patterned shirt paired with blue shorts. The star completed his stylish look with a grey bowler hat, sunglasses, and a brown crossbody bag. He cut a casual figure in a trendy pair of black and white Nike trainers and looked in high spirits as he left the iconic TV studios, following a day of filming.
