CORONATION Street’s Calum Lill is leaving the soap just over a year after joining, The Sun can exclusively reveal. The actor - who plays villain Joel Deering in the ITV soap - will depart in explosive scenes in the coming months. Viewers watched recently as Calum’s character Joel was revealed to be grooming and abusing young girls and to be responsible for trying to kill Lauren Bolton.

They watched sickened as he drugged her in attempt to kill her baby - but his plan backfired when she went into early labour and the baby survived.
