Coronation Street legend Peter Ash has announced his next role, as Paul Foreman ’s story comes to a devastating end. Paul was diagnosed with motor neurone disease last year, and in late 2023 was given the heart-breaking news that he only had six months left to live. Over the past few months, his condition has been deteriorating, and he has now been told that it is no longer safe for him to use the stairlift in and out of the flat.

In an upcoming episode , viewers will get to see a day in the life from Paul’s perspective, as he and husband Billy Mayhew ( Daniel Brocklebank ) spend the day together. With Paul’s speech having significantly deteriorated , viewers will hear his innermost thoughts as a voiceover. Unfortunately, Paul’s story is soon set to come to an end, with actor Daniel Brocklebank revealing to Metro.
