The actor who plays one of Coronation Street's most legendary characters has shared a glimpse of his life off screen, including the cast mates he's friends with, the podcast he shares, and even a sweet school photo from back in the day. Jack P Shepherd, who has played the role of David Platt on the long running soap, since 2000, has been at the centre of some of the show's most dramatic storylines in that time. And this week has been no different as the character has found himself embroiled in family drama as Nick Tilsley and Toyah Battersby's affair was finally discovered by Leanne Battersby.

David warned Nick to put an end to the affair in Wednesday's episode, after he was almost caught red-handed by David's wife, Shona Turner, . Then, at son Max's 18th birthday party, Leanne marched into the bistro to confront her cheating partner, leading to some entertaining dramatic scenes for viewers. Off-screen however, Jack's life is far less dramatic and the star regularly gives his 395,000 Instagram followers glimpses into it through updates.

One such update this week included a sweet photo of himself at school, aged eight.
