When the futuristic Folsom home with views of the Sacramento skyline hit the market last year, the listing agent at the time called it in the region. During construction in 2023, the residence — dubbed “Space Luxe” — drew tens of thousands of likes and shares on social media and attracted a steady stream of cars driving by for a look. Now, the hillside home that can be seen from Highway 50 East is getting a new owner.

The deal closed Wednesday. The purchase of such a unique property might be considered a steal, considering it originally listed for $2.395 million and jumped to nearly $2.

5 million at one point. The property had recently gone into foreclosure, Saini said. “I really think the buyers are very lucky to buy it at this price because it’s below production cost,” Saini said.

“You cannot build this house at $1.7 million.” Saini, a broker with 20 years of experience in Sacramento, has sold other homes on Tobrurry Way.

With a few upgrades, the property’s value could quickly climb much higher that the selling price, he said. The buyers are “excited to move in” and have plans to further improve the property with landscaping and a pool, among other things, .
