Remedy Entertainment has teased the sequel to 2019’s highly acclaimed “Control” video game. Players have been tucking into the final piece of DLC for “Alan Wake 2” last week titled ‘The Lake House’ and within it found what appears to be a direct tease for Remedy’s next project. In the DLC, you meet a mysterious character who has a connection to Control’s setting – The Oldest House.

The character says “Tell Jesse I tried” at one point, referring to Jesse Faden who serves as the main character in “Control”. Then a short cutscene plays which shows The Oldest House and the streets of New York City, teasing that the reality-bending action of “Control” could spill out beyond the building. This is essentially repaying the way that “Alan Wake 2” was teased in the DLC for “Control” as both game franchises share the same in-game universe.

Remedy and 505 Games are co-developing and co-publishing “Control 2” which was first announced back in late 2022. No word on a potential release date as yet. Meanwhile Annapurna has plans to bring Remedy IP to other mediums including film and television.

Remedy has another game set in the “Control” universe titled “FBC: Firebreak”..
