COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) A Boone County jury found a Columbia man guilty on Thursday of manslaughter and other felonies in a November 2022 double homicide. Cadilac Derrick, 37, was found guilty of first-degree involuntary manslaughter, voluntary manslaughter, second-degree domestic assault and two counts of armed criminal action.

He was previously charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, second-degree domestic assault and endangering the welfare of a child after a Dec. 16, 2022, grand jury indictment. Derrick will be sentenced at 2:30 p.

m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.

He is being held at the Boone County Jail. Derrick was accused of shooting and killing two Columbia women – Lea'johna Sanders, 22, and Laura Myers, 53 – on Nov. 5, 2022, in the 1600 block of Boyd Lane.

The trial began on Tuesday , where jurors heard a 911 recording of the shooting, as well as testimony from two officers. Check back for updates..
