Representative Image MUMBAI: The city police on Sunday arrested a 27-year-old coaching class teacher from near the Mumbai airport after he landed from Kullu Manali , for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in his coaching class. Two younger brothers of the accused were also arrested on Saturday in this case. The two brothers arrested on Saturday were aged 24 and 25 years.
An FIR was registered against the three brothers, who run a coaching class in south Mumbai for students studying between class VII and class XII. The three brothers were booked for molestation, unnatural sex, and raping a minor girl , under sections of the IPC and protection of children from sexual offense ( Pocso ). Police got information that the eldest brother, an accused in the case, was returning from Kullu Manali with his parents on Sunday.
Police arrested him from near the Mumbai airport. The case was registered with a police station in Central Mumbai and then transferred to a south Mumbai police station where the coaching centre is located. In 2022, the girl joined the coaching centre where 35 to 40 girls also study.
In December 2022, her mother noticed behavioural changes in her and admitted her to a child development centre in 2023 where the minor went for four months. She joined the child development centre again in February this year and confided in a counsellor in March about the sexual assault on her by the three brothers of the coaching class.
