Mushy peas are essential with a British chippy dinner, but not everyone is a fan (stock image) (Image: Getty Images) A British meal has gone viral thanks to its less-than appealing mushy peas, which one user likened to "melted green soldiers" from the movie Toy Story. Taking to Twitter/X, a hungry diner shared a picture of a meal a family member had made for them. The plate was adorned with a battered sausage, chips and mushy peas – but they seemed less than thrilled at the prospect of eating it.

They wrote: "My British cousin just made this for me...

". Other social media users were concerned with food poisoning and even said the meal didn't look edible. One wrote: "bro made u chips with a dash of clay peas and dog tail".
