Clarence Earl “Bud” Jones, 87, of Morgantown, passed peacefully at his home with the family he built by his side on the morning of Thursday, August 15, 2024. He is survived by the love of his life, Jacqueline S. Jones, who he would say he loved more than anything in this world.

Clarence and Jackie met in Baltimore in 1957 upon his return from the Navy. They, without a doubt, had a marriage most dream of and strive to achieve. They have celebrated 65 beautiful years of marriage with a hug and kiss every morning and night and hands held every place they went.

Bud would give her three quick kisses and a “love you baby” to show how much he adored her. Together, they have two sons, Richard (Roxane) Jones and Jeffrey (Michelle) Jones, of Morgantown. Clarence had seven grandchildren: Elizabeth (Chuck) Jones, Daniel (Sarah) Jones, Zachary (Samantha) Jones, Mackenzie (Victor) Magdaleno, Alicia Reckers, Justin (Kelly) Jones and Samantha (Cody) Funk.

Clarence had twelve great-grandchildren he adored: Karsyn, Caroline, Jackson, Tristan, Dahlia, Cora, Tinlie, Harbour, Nash, Lane, Lilly and Roy. Clarence is also survived by his brother and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Clarence served in the United States Navy and fought in the Korean War.

During his Naval career, he was stationed on the U.S.S.

Caliente. After returning from the Navy, he went to work at the Maryland State Penitentiary in Baltimore for 15 years as a correctional officer. He and his family then moved to.
