1 2 Kanpur: Thousands of devotees on Monday congregated at Shri Radha Krishna Temple (JK Temple) to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna with traditional fervour. The temple was exquisitely decorated with flowers for this auspicious occasion. The deities inside the temple were adorned with divine blossoms, ornaments, and attire.

Abhishek Singhania and Varsha Singhania, temple trustees and the pradhan sevak, along with other family members, conducted a special worship ceremony for Vrindavan Bihari. The students of the temple's Gurukul recited Vedic hymns. Spectacular pyrotechnics were displayed to mark the birth of Nandlala (Lord Krishna).

The temple, illuminated with beautiful lights further enhanced by the musical fountain. After the worship and aarti, ‘maha prasad’ was distributed to all devotees who not only had the opportunity to have a ‘darshan’ of the deity but also relished the fair organized within the temple premises. Devotees visited the setups of Mata Vaishno Devi and Amarnath Cave, where they had ‘darshan’ of Mata Rani and Baba.

They also shopped extensively from "Kanha Kothi" to prepare for the worship and adornment of Gopal. Spiritual and cultural programs were presented by prominent cultural groups from the city. The event began at 4.

30 pm with Vedic chants, followed by captivating performances of music, dance, and drama by artists from Kalakunj Group, Rhythm Group, Kalanidhi Group, Navrang Group, Krishna Kalakunj Group, and Dhanashree .
