A group of community members joined together Wednesday morning to open Liberty Hill's newest road, Gracie Lane, which is situated at Seward Junction and connects U.S.

Highway 183 to State Highway 29, with a ribbon cutting. The road, constructed by Chasco, marks the beginning of development to a 106-acre project by Pohl Jensen, which will soon be home to several big box retailers, quick service restaurants, multi-family housing and more. "Pohl Jensen has been working on this project tirelessly for several years," said Jennifer Jensen, co-owner of Pohl Jensen, at the ribbon cutting. "The name Gracie Lane signifies the forefront of our mission, which is family. Gracie is named for my daughter.

" Liberty Hill Mayor Crystal Mancilla also spoke at the ribbon cutting, stating that she remembers 30 years ago when there was "nothing" at Seward Junction. "Just to see this start being developed [is exciting]," she said. "Along the way with the project we've hit some bumps in the road, but together with the city and the Pohl family, we've been able to pull it through.

This road is the first of many that symbolizes that even though we're growing, we're keeping that small town feel and keeping our heritage here." Read more about the planned development in The Independent 's pr.
