The church is God's vehicle for reaching a lost and broken world. We are all participants in this ministry of reconciliation, a reflection of the Father’s heart as revealed in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (New International Version) However, ministry isn't confined to formal church roles and settings. Our homes, workplaces, sports, schools, businesses and the community are marketplaces where we can significantly impact the world around us.

As Christians, God has a unique plan for each of us, equipping us for the specific purpose He has called us to. Romans 8:28 and 11:29 remind us of God's unwavering purpose and grace. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (New International Version) and Romans 11:29, “for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable (He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.

(Amplified Bible) Without the Holy Spirit's guidance and intentional intimacy with God, we are swayed by worldly concerns, circumstances, and life’s busy demands, and by default leading us to rely on our own strength and understanding. Activities and programmes are important, but over focusing on them can lead to neglecting our spiritual needs, missing G.
