Church Brothers LLC is recalling green onions in the United States and Canada after government testing showed contamination with Salmonella. Distribution was limited to retail and foodservice customers in Canada and in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia. Church Brothers Farms has notified these customers and is working with them to ensure rapid compliance with the recall.
As of the posting of the recall notice, there hadn’t been any confirmed reports of illnesses. In the event customers or consumers have the recalled product in their refrigerators, they should be discarded and not consumed.
