A SPECIAL ceremony will be held in St Michael's Church, Creeslough today – in memory of the 10 victims who lost their lives two years. The church bells will ring at 3.17pm marking the exact time the tragedy took place.

Fr John Joe Duffy will be leading the prayer service at 7pm for those who tragically died . In October 2022, ten people were killed after an explosion at a service station in Creeslough, Co Donegal . The victims — four men, three women, two teenagers and a five-year-old girl — were all living in the local area.

Those who died were Robert Garwe and his five-year-old daughter Shauna Flanagan-Garwe; Catherine O’Donnell and her 13-year-old son James Monaghan; fashion student Jessica Gallagher; Celtic fan Martin McGill; Sydney native James O’Flaherty; shop worker Martina Martin; carpenter Hugh “Hughie” Kelly; and 14-year-old Leona Harper. Fr John Joe Duffy said: “Families will be remembering their departed loved ones in their own personal, private and family ways as they have been doing each and every day since the tragedy of two years ago. “Our entire parish community will be remembering Shauna, James, Leona, Jessica, Catherine, James, Martina, Martin, Robert and Hughie throughout this weekend as we do every day.
