Christine Baranski, who stars in both previous Mamma Mia films, has given an encouraging update on the third instalment of the hit romantic comedy series. The 72-year-old, who starred as Tanya in Mamma Mia (2008) and Mamma Mia Here We Go Again (2018), revealed fresh details about progress on a third movie after she caught up with producer Judy Craymer. “I was in London with Judy Craymer at our favourite watering hole, she is planning Mamma Mia 3,” she told the Hollywood Reporter .

“She gave me the narrative plotline of how it’s going to happen. That’s all I can say! “But, it’s not like, “Oh, I wish it could happen!” Judy Craymer makes things happen. She made number two happen, and it was a phenomenal hit.

“I wouldn’t put it past Judy Kramer to get everybody back together.” Baranski, who has since featured in The Gilded Age, said the new instalment would have no trouble in drawing crowds to cinemas. “It’s just the kind of movie that makes people happy,” she told the publication.
