Yesterday (August 24), Sheeran played to a 70,000-strong crowd at The National Arena, and the Avengers actor’s appearance was planned since last December, as he reveals in a video shared on Instagram .
Hemsworth requested over email to perform drums as part of his show Limitless With Chris Hemsworth , which is currently shooting its second season. The show deals with Hemsworth trying out new experiences. During its first season, it was revealed through genetic tests that the actor possesses a genetic disposition for Alzheimer’s disease – this has since fuelled the show’s premise in an effort to raise awareness for the condition.
Hemsworth learned to play the drums leading up to the concert date. “I’ve been thinking about it a lot,” he says, tongue-in-cheek, to Sheeran in the video. The duo then performed ‘Thinking Out Loud’ for the Bucharest crowd.

Sheeran is currently wrapping up his last dates for 2024, culminating in a headlining set at Rock in Rio in Brazil next month. The singer-songwriter will then embark on his ‘Mathematics’ tour in Europe next summer.
