The Kansas City Chiefs have already added Josh Uche and DeAndre Hopkins before the trade deadline. They could still be active in making calls to acquire another defensive star. While listing players the Chiefs could still trade for, FanSided's Lior Lampert urged the team to swing a blockbuster trade for New Orleans Saints corner Marson Lattimore.

He also listed Khalil Mack and Budda Baker as targets. "Unlike Baker and Mack, Lattimore is signed beyond 2024," wrote Lampert. "Conversely, this could work in favor of the Chiefs, knowing that the Saints are in salary cap hell.

New Orleans has done financial gymnastics to avoid exceeding the cap over the years, though it's finally catching up to them. So, they could ship their talented (albeit expensive) corner to Kansas City to negate this." Lattimore is not a luxury, but rather a need.

He is a 4-time Pro Bowler and could fill in for Jaylen Watson who is done for the season. "With Kansas City's No. 2 cornerback, Jaylen Watson, likely done for the season, the Chiefs have a legitimate need for Lattimore," wrote Lampert.

"The Saints defender has struggled to stay healthy and is no longer in peak on-field form, but he'd be a valuable addition." Lattimore has started all seven games for the Saints this year. He played in just ten games all of last season.

The Chiefs have already shown they are not scared to make some trades to fill holes for injuries. Adding Lattimore would be another impact trade on defense after the team acquired Josh.
