Chicago Fire Season 13 Episode 2 came out swinging with intense calls and in-house drama, and we’re here for it. After last week’s relatively uneventful premiere, Wednesday’s hottest firefighter show brought us an hour with a few more teeth in it. The episode leaned in a surprising direction with a few more details about 118’s new chief, Damon caused friction in Stellaride land, and as for Carvolet .

.. well, I’ll get to that.

Herrmann Passes the Smell Test I don’t say this lightly. This Herrmann-smells-sexy storyline was my favorite light-hearted bit Chicago Fire has ever done. First, who can resist a long-standing couple who still gets hot and bothered by each other? Second, nothing will ever top the hilarity that ensued when Herrmann recruited Ritter to help him sniff strangers so he could get laid.

These kinds of shenanigans are exactly why we love this show so much. Between the friendship that knows no limits, the wholesome masculinity, and the absurd silliness of it all, we get a soap opera -dramedy combo that rarely disappoints. Here’s Why I No Longer Ship Carver and Violet Ugh.

We learned in this episode that Carver completely ghosted Violet after telling her he was in love with her. Then, even though she apologized and tried to make nice, he has completely ignored her since returning from furlough. I hated the way he talked about the girl he’s seeing, and continuing to treat Violet like she’s invisible is immature and gross of him.

Honestly, Violet d.
