CHEYENNE — Jim Casey, president of Halladay Motors in Cheyenne, has been nominated for the 2025 TIME Dealer of the Year award. He is one of 49 dealer nominees across the country out of 20,000 who will be honored at the 108th annual National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) show in New Orleans in January. The award recognizes both the success of an auto dealer and their commitment to community service.
Casey said he is honored to receive the nomination from his peers and hopes the recognition will inspire others to give back to their community. “I really enjoy being a part of the community,” he said. “And the award is based on not only your qualifications or expertise of being a car dealer, but also based on what you do in the community.
” He said the Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Nissan and Subaru dealership is involved with more than 100 charitable organizations and has contributed more than $4 million in financial support to local organizations. “I’m not the only one. There’s lots of people that are very supportive of different organizations and within the community,” Casey told the Wyoming Tribune Eagle.
“...
There’s a lot of people that do the same thing, and I just think it’s important to be in a community that is supportive that way and works together. I just think it’s a great place to raise a family and a great community.” After graduating from Cheyenne’s Central High School in 1979, Casey attended the University of Wyoming.
