A luxury spa in Cheshire and a Victorian B&B in North Wales have been included in the shortlist for this year’s AA Hospitality Awards. The awards highlight “the very best” within the industry and recognises hotels , inns, B&Bs and restaurants with rooms across the UK. Shortlists for six categories have now been announced, ahead of a glamorous ceremony held at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London on Monday, September 23.

The categories which have been announced are: housekeeper of the year, inn of the year, B&B of the year, restaurant with rooms of the year, spa hotel of the year and the sustainable award. Several properties across the north west have been announced in the shortlists. The Cartford Inn in Little Eccleston, Lancashire has been listed in the Inn of the Year category which recognises “excellent levels of quality throughout, outstanding levels of hospitality and service, with a focus on local character and community.

” It has previously been crowned AA Inn of the Year for England. The AA inspector described it as a “comfortable period B&B, full of character, with many thoughtful extras.
