While the top overall search term in Ireland was Euros 2024, it was the TV and film lists that caught our eye, with one being the expected result and the other being quite surprising. In the TV series category, it comes as no surprise to hear that the series "Baby Reindeer" was the most googled in the country, but the top seven were all Netflix productions. Despite hitting the streaming giant on January 1, 2024, in second place was the Harlan Coben series "Fool Me Once", and the more recently released "The Perfect Couple" in third.

"One Day" came in fourth with Guy Ritchie's "The Gentlemen" in fifth place and "Griselda" starring Sofia Vergara in sixth. Two other Netflix shows also made the top 10, with the Irish series " Bodkin " coming in seventh and "Monsters: The Menendez Brothers" in ninth. The only two series that weren't a Netflix production were the Disney+ show "Rivals", in eighth place (which just had season two announced) and Prime Video's "Fallout" (which just started shooting its second season) in tenth.

As for our top searched films of the year, it came as a surprise to us that Barry Keoghan 's viral hit "Saltburn" topped the list, especially as it was released in 2023. However, the movie became a viral sensation on social media, especially once it landed on Prime Video, and continued for months afterward.
