A charity ball in Manchester has raised more than £1.2 million. The sixth Michael Josephson MBE Charity Ball recently took place and raised £1,204,488.
78. The event, which is held annually, raises money for children's and youth charities across the UK. Celebrities from the world of sport, TV, and film attended the event including Elizabeth Hurley, Patsy Kensit, Bryan Robson, and Christopher Biggins.
There was also a performance from Tony and Grammy-winning singer and actor Alfie Boe OBE, who sang Bring Him Home. Lulu, who performed at the first Michael Josephson MBE Charity Ball in 2018, also returned as this year's headline act.
