On Friday, several players and staff members from the Los Angeles Chargers suffered a terrifying experience ahead of their preseason matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The franchise provided further details on the incident. “At approximately 7:30 pm CT Friday evening, several players and members of the Chargers traveling party were stranded in an inoperable elevator at the team hotel,” the statement read .

“Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the incident and subsequently assisted everyone from the elevator, one-by-one, through its ceiling panel and into an adjacent elevator. “The Los Angeles Chargers thank Dallas Fire-Rescue for their quick response, professionalism and substantial efforts in ensuring everyone’s safety.” The Chargers have not released which players or staff members were stuck in the elevator.

On Tuesday, the Oxnard Fire Department and Police were called to the Dallas Cowboys’ training camp home at the River Ridge Residence Inn due to a fire in one of the guests’ rooms.

“There was a fire emergency in one of the guest rooms this afternoon at the team’s hotel in Oxnard, Calif.,” a press statement read . “The emergency was contained to one room, that was empty at the time, and there were no injuries.
