But the reality paints a far different picture than the beachside getaway promos Nine has released of the season, dubbed Block Island, in recent months. While the completed homes were modern and beautiful, albeit unfinished, the dreary weather and cookie-cutter exteriors made a lacklustre first impression. The most recent trailer sees hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft crash-land on an isolated white sand retreat in the middle of some unexplored jungle. However, this 'pure paradise' actually sits smack bang in the middle of an up-and-coming suburban area, surrounded by modern builds pulled off a similar plan.
