Channel 4 star Scarlette Douglas has revealed how she was once told she would be 'sacked' if she didn't lose weight. The former A Place in The Sun presenter was speaking about her rise to TV, revealing that she had once worked in musical theatre. Scarlette, 37, revealed the nasty experience came at her very first job.

She said she was told: "If you don't lose weight, we're going to sack you." Scarlette, currently presenting property show Worst House on the Street for Channel 4 , alongside her brother, Stuart Douglas, then revealed she she ended up going on a 'popcorn diet' and getting sick. Speaking on the Bread and Butter podcast, Scarlette revealed she had also left theatre school with 'body dysmorphia and a slight eating disorder'.

" She continued: "So I ended up leaving there with body dysmorphia and a slight eating disorder. I had IBS. I was never bulimic but I was so conscious of what I would eat that the minute I finished eating, I was sick or it would come out of the other side.
