Channel 4 has issued an update on the future of one of its popular daytime reality shows. A New Life in the Sun follows people from the UK as they attempt to make their business dreams come true abroad. The show premiered in 2016 and quickly became a hit among viewers.
Now the channel has confirmed that a tenth series is in the pipeline and has launched a search for participants. Posting on X, formerly Twitter , Channel 4 said: “Are you living in the UK and want to start a business in the sun or already living abroad with a business up and running? We’re looking for participants for a new series of A New Life in the Sun.” Narrated by Beverly Rudd, A New Life in the Sun follows Brits as they set up their new ventures - from cocktail masterclasses to a boutique B&B, across a variety of locations like Spain, Portugal, Italy and France - or expand their existing business, reports The Sun.
They find out what it’s really like to start a new life in the sun and discover if the grass really is greener on the other side. Series 10 is still in the early stages of production and filming is yet to begin..
Additional details about the programme, produced by True North, have been released on the Channel 4 website, which states: “We are looking for British people who are planning to set up new businesses in Europe.
