Stephen Webb has revealed he turned down Channel 4 bosses when they asked him about possibly making a comeback to Gogglebox . The TV favourite disclosed he was tempted by the offer shortly after withdrawing from ITV 's Dancing On Ice . Back in October 2023, the 53-year-old had to bow out of the competition due to an ankle injury sustained in training.
Straight after his departure from the ice-skating contest, Stephen revealed that he had been approached by team Gogglebox, months after announcing he wouldn't be returning to the show . However, after a decade on the hit show, Stephen decided it was time for him to truly move on and declined the offer. "Gogglebox's producers got in touch and said, 'As you haven't done any other shows, you could come back to Gogglebox if you want'", he confessed to the Daily Star .
"But I never followed it up." Revealing his reasons for not taking up the offer, the reality TV star explained, "Ten years on the show is enough. I was like Ken Barlow.
I'd had more line-ups than the Sugababes It was time to go!" Despite leaving, Stephen admits he's still in the loop with the Gogglebox crew and hasn't ruled out a guest appearance, saying, "If they asked me to go back for a special, I definitely would.", reports the Express .
